Margot Rudolph emigrated from the Netherlands in 1982. She was immediately drawn to the vibrancy of Africa’s indigenous plants, textures and the landscape. As a ceramicist, Margot Rudolph uses stoneware clay and the traditional coiling technique. In 1986, she obtained her National Diploma in Ceramic Design from the Tshwane University of Technology and had one of her pieces selected as part of the Pretoria University Art Museum collection.

TRUE COLOURS
“The African landscape has an extraordinary wealth of colours, textures and forms. Margot Rudolph has drawn inspiration from this wealth in her vibrant vases. She has focused her attention on capturing the beautiful and vibrant colours that Africa inspires. Each of Margot’s pieces are individually handmade, using the traditional coiling technique in stoneware combined with dynamic glazes.”
