SUMMARY:Night Mares in Paradise - Elmarie van Straten
DESCRIPTION:The Gallery at Grande Provence Presents \n \nA Solo Exhibition by Elmarie van Straten  \n  \n\n\nJoin us for the opening at The Gallery at Grande Provence\nSaturday\, the 26h of October 2024 at 11:00. \n\nThis exhibition explores the duality of the world we inhabit\, often seen as a divine paradise. However\, upon closer inspection\, subtle hints of a dystopian reality emerge—an undercurrent of crime and unsettling tension. What initially appears idyllic begins to reveal darker shadows\, especially when we pause and linger too long. \nThe “Mares” in the title symbolizes horses grazing in an otherworldly utopia\, yet not entirely of this world. As you observe\, the imperfections within the seeming perfection slowly come into view. \nRequest Catalogue \n  \nSat 26th of October – 30 November 2024\nEnquiries: gallery@grandeprovence.co.za
